Welcome to Cardigan Junction model railway web page
Cardigan Junction located in Tresaith, Cardigan, West Wales has been under construction since May 2019.. This is a HO scale model railroad based in Wisconsin in the early 1950s to 1960s. Modelled loosely on Green Bay to Milwaukee.
The 300 ft single track mainline is designed for operation. With ore trains lumbering to the mines avoiding the priority freights as they deliver goods bound for the metropolis.
When Keith and I began this project in 2019 many people told us that achieving our goal outside a major
population hub would be impossible. Yet here we are with 80% complete. Much of this due to the amazing support of the individuals who have joined us. Which has enabled us to pursue many additional avenues and develop additional features.
Give us a visit. The only requirement you need is enthusiasm. Together we can achieve our goal.
Open for visitors 3:00 to 5:00 every Saturday
Dont hold back its all free. Even the tea!
You must make an appointment to get directions.
Could do with some advice on video making and editing

A pair of F units run a priority freight north
A lot of work is being carried out on the RFID project by Andy and Alex. We have now installed Six readers at Green Duck Yard and six at Cardigan Junction the rest are in the staging yards. Around 150 cars tagged.
Andy has now fired up the impressive system which displays the location of all the cars and trains. This info can be picked up on mobile phones and tablets,
and saves a lot of paperwork.
We are looking forward to implementing this as soon as it is fully functional
Dont sit at home watching TV. Come and get involved in this exclusive project. It takes many skills to build and maintain a 50ft long railway, and you may be surprised to find you have some of them.
Be active to promote your mental health and wellbeing.
